The collection of Château Siran wine labels
1980: the beginning of a series of illustration
Property of William Miailhe, the Chateau Siran vineyard covers 40 hectare.
The area spreads across 3 different Named Controlled origins (24 hectares for Margaux, 15 for
Bordeaux Superior and 1 for Haut-Medoc).
The vineyard is planted with 45% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% of Merlot, 12% of petit Verdot and 8%
of Cabernet Franc. Planting density is 10000 plants per hectare and the average age of the vine is 45 years old.
Since 2003, Chateau Siran enjoys the “Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel” status, the distinction rewarding the regularity
and the excellence of its production year on year.
Since 1980, an artist designs the label on a theme representing an important event for the year.
Some very famous names have been involved, like Jean-Michel Folon or Juan Miro.
